im wondering how to go about this if anyone can help.

Ok if i post say in a certain section of my board - say for example i have a jokes section.
Now i make a thread in that section i want it to say in my postbit i have made 1 joke

now if i go back to the same section and do another joke i want it to say 2 jokes - do not want any replies i make to be counted.

The above is only an example but its for a section i have so how would i go about doing this??

You need a plugin that counts your threads made in forum x .. and update custom profile field. Then the custom profile field can be used all over the forum.

plugin with query, update field.. that's it.

tbh i throught it would just be a dataabse query and a bit of code for the postbit.If anyone knows the code plz help on this one.

Take a look at this hack. If you can't figure out how to modify it to suit your needs let me know, and I'll see what I can do.

Lo deaths that hack would do - but i aint got a clue how to go about modifying it.I gather the hack adds every thread that u make - whereas i only want certain sections to be added.
