I personally think the new lastpost.gif markers look a little better but now the subforum icons are throwing the whole consistency thing on it's head. If you could get a similiar design for the subforums as the lastpost then I think the balance would be levelled out.

I think once you have the lastpost & subforum images looking consistent and complementing one another the index page is done.

What I could do is send you the PSD for that lastpost marker and maybe you could give it an animation for new posts and a static state for old if you fancy tinkering around with it?

PM me your email addy if you want me to send it to you. ;)

I appreciate it Shelley, you a far better icon designer then I will ever be (grin)

I decided to match the lastpost icon (pulsing red arrow) to the subforum icons which mirror the primary status icons, also finished the large gallery icon in what’s going on section on the index page and the rest of the postbit stuff, including the multiquote.

Check it out and let me know what you think, you can use the test account so you can see everything in the site.

Actually I think I am going to try the lastpost icon in golden color to match the header and cat bars, perhaps increase its size to 30pix for better resolution. Then check myself into an asylum (grin)

I still think there is room for improvement but the point is you took notice, and took on board the suggestions and with that you have a more complete/consistent looking style so overall good job on the implementations made.

I would try and limit the last post Icons to a maximum size of 20px by 20px, anything larger just throws the whole thing off imo. That said, the newer additons (graphic wise) are far better than when we first started the review so any further tweaking is always encouraged.

Just so you know, when you check in, look out for the crazy looking brunette waving a paintbrush around. I'll await your arrival and we can reminisce about the good old days when you asked for a simple review, and I came along and kept making suggestions which forced you to open photoshop and make all kinds of adjustments causing for you to check in to the photoshop clinic for lunatics. ;)

I tried 20x (grin) but the image wasn't that great, best I could do was 25x and live with my self.

I made some more minor adjustments, table borders, colors, backgrounds, knockouts and decided to make the status icons all the same and the clickable type small buttons all match so there is some uniformity.

Anyways, I hope its starting to look like something now (grin)

Hey Volion, Nice hearing from you again. ;)

Right, Let's see how everything looks. I've noticed you've changed the background image for the threads/posts cells. Personally, I think the background pattern looks a little to dark compared to the other solid colours used in the other areas. Possibly use the same colour without the background pattern?

I've noticed you've changed the lastpost marker. This was a good move because the last marker looked to big and didn't complement the style very well. The only grieveance I have with it is the red border around the edge. Personally, I would give the red part an indent and at the same time go into photoshop and lower the fill to 0% so the indent is transparent but stills shows the indent.

Overall, it's a vast improvement from when we first started collaborating on how to improve the minor details.

Again, top marks for perseverence and I look forward to seeing the changes if you decide to take them onboard. :knockedou
