Purely my own preference with this style, but I find the style terribly bland. I don't know if it's me but there is a feeling of emptiness that is being conveyed with this style and there's no focus point or wow factor that would prompt anyone to register. Maybe the lack of activity is in play here and the low post count but for me the style is missing something.

I suggest in fixing the logo or replacing it with a visually better looking colour theme. This should be your focus point to guests who first visit your site and the current logo (text) looks terribly shabby with minimum effort gone into creating it.

Maybe decrease the width of the forums? 90 or 95% would probably give it a little bit of life and possibly add colour to the icons so they look a little more prominant against this style.
