The alt1 & alt2 gradients don't really complement each other well, Maybe go with gradients that aren't (visually) so far apart with regards to colour implementation? Another thing I thought was spoiling this was the colour of the border, I dunno. Maybe iof you shifted the gradient from the thead and had that for the tcat then that may enduce a visually more appealing look otherwise I would opt for another colour for the border.
The forum Icons have a black matte background and being applied on a gradient background the remnants of the black background is showing. Clean up and saved (by cropping the gradient) then applying it to the last layer of the forum icons would fix this problem and this would result in forum icons looking seamless against the background.
The blue colours on the lastpost icon doesn't go with this style, nor does any of the other blue you have implemented on text/links etc. Remove them and go with a colour that will complement the style and colour theme.
Another thing I would do is go with something custom with regards to the button set. A recoloured vbulletin stock set is still classed as default in my books and theres nothhing better than have a totally custom look for your forum.
I didn't have permission to view the postbit so I can't comment on that but I wish you the best of luck for your forum and just a note to say with a few tweaks here and there and this style would look nice, I really like the colours but incorrectly used and it results in a mediocre style when it could have been visually good. ;)
