Hey guys. Check out my first crack at any type of Forum. I have never used vBulletin before, but I seem to be catching on to it..

This forum is for golf nuts in the London, Ontario area to get together and talk golf.

Please let me know what you guys like and what you do not like.

Thanks!

Matt

i don't like that it takes a while to load

and I don't care for the green, but I can see how it would work with your niche

good luck with the site

It takes a while for it to load for you? What browser are you using?

Thanks!

I must be the lucky one, I got on within 2 seconds. Anyway, this won't be a great review (depending how you take it) because there's nothing really I like about your forum (I'm speaking in a graphical sense).

The logo looks a little shabby and I would personally opt for the logo to be 100% of the width whether it involves slicing the images and giving part of the logo a repeating part or forcing an alternative background via the css. Either way, It looks all alone and I would give the logo a more intergrated feel to it and a more quality look.

I can't really comment to much about the rest as it's all default stock vbulletin images, even the style. What I would suggest is that you try to find an appropriate style and/or pay for a custom style which is most certainly going to look better than the default style.

Goodluck with your site and hopefully we will see something a little more customized in the near future. ;)

Thanks for the reviews, guys. My server had issues last week, but it is back up now.

I agree, I want a new style, but I cannot find one that suits my eye for 3.6.. Can some of the ones for 3.5x be used?

I tried putting a banner all the way across the top of the forum, but this is the problem I had... I am viewing at a high resolution (1280x1084) and my other Admin is running somewhat lower (1024x768). When I have the large banner on there, it goes so far across the screen that you have to scroll over to see the rest of it.. I dunno if there is a way around that or not.. As I said, I am new to this.. ;)

Seriously, I appreciate the suggestions. I will check out your button packs, Shelley.

IF you guys have any other ideas, do not hesitate... I have a thick skin...
