vBulletin: ImpEx

Well here it is, the vB3 importer system, also known as ImpEx (Import/Export).

The importers currently available are:

• phpBB2
• IPB 1.3
• ubb.eve 4.02
• ubb.classic 6.7

Also after much debate and customer feedback, they are being released un-encoded and with a developers API included for the main system.

Once the file is downloaded, decompress it into the base directory of your forum and read the impex.readme.txt file for further details of how to configure it for your board and the system from which you are importing. Also, remember to run the Update Counters functions from the vB3 Admin CP's Import and Maintenance section when you are done importing, and check the forum manager.

ImpEx requires at least vBulletin 3.0.1, so please upgrade vBulletin to the latest version before attempting any imports.

The bug tracker has been set up for the core and the separate systems.

Remember: An import to a existing vB3 database can be a major event so ALWAYS back up first!
