If they don't add credit in the credits at the admincp index, or anywhere in the code I'd sue them. Seeing as the files were hosted and coded in the USA, they're copyrighted to you and only you.

The problem with that is, they only take the concept. They don't have to use the code since they don't have to hack vb. They can change vb code and templates to meet their needs.

Nevertheless, they still watch and wait while others do all the research for them. They can easily see what is popular and what issues will arise long before they release anything. That's what the vBORG is for.

That's pretty much the main reason I stoped offering my code there. I realized I was just a tool to them.

Not much you can do about it other than make your stuff work better than theirs.

I would sue them to. It's just using people for their grand design and some of the staff are right CENSORED. IT'S FUSTRATING!

I think it is copyrighted because for example when microsoft made windows media edtion they announced it first the concept of it was then copyrighted. So apple couldn't bring something like it out. They could still make a media center like thing but they had to make it alot different to microsoft's.

The thing is Andreas made the welcome pm for example. Thats no in 3.6 with no credit to her, the same with real live wire's mod. They don't differ at all.

Just my opinion though.

I just feel if vB.org is going to stand behind authors giving credit and not releasing work that others have made in prior versions, then Jelsoft should uphold this aggrement that vB.org so strongly stands by.

For example: If Code Monkey would release my sighosting hack for 3.5, he would be required to notify me and ask for permissions, and give credit where credit is due. Thats a vB.org policy. Why doesn't Jelsoft use the same policy?
