Hello everyone,

The staff has come to the conclusion that far too few new members read the forum rules (link can also be found in the navbar).

Mostly this doesn't *really* mather (ofcourse it's annoying), but in some cases the questions asked are downright illegal and are mostly asked due to a misunderstanding of the 'hackers' part in our domain name.

Therefor the senior staff (guys that post in green =P) will start banning (varying from 24h to perma ban) users who simply not read the rules, and fail to follow them.

We are sorry for these hard measures we're forced to take, but if we're very unlucky we can get into legal trouble if we don't do anything against the discussion/linking of illegal software/stuff.

We came to the decision because some members complained about this (I believe you, MadDog were one of them =)), and because there were 2 of these threads in a week or so.

We are mostly against the banning of members for no reason/minor offenses, but if the post(s) clearly indicate the member hasn't even looked at the rules page, there is -in my opinion- no other suitable measure but a ban.

Again, I hope everyone understand, I guess everyone does.
