That's true, but that only deals with recording the install, and doesn't address the install pool which is over ten times bigger there.

Yes, but more people are likely to click install. I must admit that when i install a mod over at vb.org i don't always click install purely because i forget to...

Which actually makes the figures artificially high, since you have to click install just to check some code out. Download <> Install.

Read your own reply about clicking install elsewhere - people don't remember to do that.

It's also very irritating to have to click install, and then click uninstall just to view a hack.

I'm with Paul/vb.org's idea on this one. Sometimes I just like to have a scoot at the code and don't intend to install it.
I suppose it's catch 20 (or is it 22?). If there was no forced install to download then install numbers would be lower, but since there is the install numbers will be higher for those who forget to uninstall.
