That's fine... though I fail to see anything that needed "settling down". What was out of control?!

;) I guess you will never know. Heh. Anyways, anyone else have any ideas/thoughts on ways to benefit the coding title system?

There is nothing wrong with the coders tags you have there. Rock on

I agree tgreer I'm not sure why they're equating popularity with functionality, as it does seem a bit silly Maybe they can compromise and just lower the install amount, especially since that figure really has no real weight with coding ;)

Perhaps better to change the and to an [b]or[/], just think this will give a more correct perception of what the coder creates and how it is appreciated.

Some people only make 1 hack ayear that is installed 1500 times and some people make 100 hacks with an average install of 15 times, also totalling 1500 installs.

Bottemly I would rate the coder of that 1 hack equal to the other one.

Just my 2 Eurocents ;)

I would rate the coder that supports vBHackers as the higher coder, otherwise what inspires them, encourages, attracts or nurtures them to post thier hacks here at vBHackers? Some of y'all seem to forget that there is no law that makes coders post their hacks. How many times have we all seen someone post about a hack written and installed on someones forum, that people ask 'how do you do this'? You want to attract and reward coders for posting those hacks, not discourage or dishearten them from posting their hacks.

Totally agree with you, but I neither would like to discourage or dishearten those that make the hacks most members only can dream of to ever realize.

Are you saying that you don't want to discourage coders who make complex hacks? These are usually more experienced coders and hopefully they are also mature, and don't let their egos enter into the equation ;)

The way this is set up now vBHackers actually penalizes coders for adding new hacks :ermm:

If 1 hack equals 10 installs, then 8 hacks should equal 80, and 15 hacks should equal 150! The more hacks you post here the worse you're off, and no, the answer is not to increase 10 installs for one hack
