If you haven't been to the released forums yet then go there now and check out the new install system. The new system should make things much easier on a hack user and the hack author. There have been some changes in the system and new rules apply when downloading hacks. I'll explained now and why these went into affect.

You must click the install button in order to download any hacks and view screen shots. The reason for this is simple. To many people come here and download a hack and won't click the install button for some reason. I feel as a vBulletin coder that if im spending my free time coding hacks for hours and for free that a hack user owes it to me to at least click the install button to show how many people actually enjoy my hacks.

Once you click the install button, there is no clicking the uninstall button. The reason i implemented this is because i feel you clicked the install button to download the hack. Then since you downloaded it, which means your going to install it eventually. Even if you do uninstall it from your website. You still downloaded here and used it.

Anytime you release a hack here, it will show in your profile. This was here before and just wanted to let you know that its back. Also in your control panel you can see all hacks that you installed. That also has been here before and is now back.

All Hack Authors:
Please go and edit all your hacks to show the correct information about your hacks. You can tell the user how many files to edit, templates to edit, files to add, files to edit, the time it will take to install, you can show an online demo, choose if you support your hack, if an installer is included and if there are database changes when using your hack.

Coming Soon
Soon there will be a new addon system to easily view addons for your favorite hacks. This should be finished in the next couple of days and don't want to leak anymore info about it.

Bugs in the system
There are a couple of bugs that i'm fixing now. If you see any that are not listed here please let me now and i can go ahead and fix them.

• Editing Hack threads get invalid ID. (FIXED)
• Timestamp showing up wrong (Fixing)
• Who installed this hack showing incorrect information (FIXED)

Any suggestions please feel free to let me know, i'm very open minded and if its going to make our lifes easier then i want to hear it. Theres no such thing as a stupid question. Not suggesting something is a stupid thing. Enjoy my friends!!!

Not bad dude gread addon to the forums and i think its fair to since some coders go through alot of stress while coding the system and nulling bugs and test etc

I've found a couple of small bugs, but alreadu posted about those in the staff forum

can we add a coauthor because idan and i do a lot of work together and i think the best way of adding it would be to add an extra field for the coathors userid and allow him to get credit for the hack and allow him to add the hack into his profile and give him credit for installs.

I agree. I want to see this too.

Who installed gives me permission error.

I'm not sure that having to click "Install" to see a screenie is the right thing to do. I may click to have a look at the hack only to find I don't like it. That being the case an install and download is being attributed to the hack without that being the case.

You don't have to click install to see screenshots, only to download files, screenshots should appear in a fieldset beneath the post.
