Hi there, wanted to follow the suggests and give my hello to the site after registering.

I'm here to learn and hope I can learn well. Maybe I'll even be able to learn my long sought after hopes and dreams related to vB :knockedou

check out the support forum and the sub forum(Tutorials)
this should get you a small start the other way is to read how a hack works rather than just copy and paste.

Thanks for the input, I'll give these a look over. Hopefully I'll finally find something that leads me to what I'm looking for. So far my searches haven't been fruitful. :cross-eye

vb.org also has quite a lot of vb specific articles.

I've been learning php&sql for about a year, and vb for about 6 months. It's quite tough initially but once you know how they're structured the code, it's fairly easy to create new pages.

yeah i've been there as well, my biggest issue has been I'm trying to pull info from the vb database onto pages above the boards directory. So onto non-vB pages. Eventually I'll figure it out. :classic:

You can include the global.php file, then you can use the normal vB queries and variables .
