Smile Men and womens favorite top ten movies.

According to a survey taken by The New York Times these are the favorite top ten movies as rated by men and women;

Top 10 Most Watched Films By Women

1) Dirty Dancing
2) Star Wars trilogy
3) Grease
4) The Sound of Music
5) Pretty Woman
6) The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
7) It's A Wonderful Life
8) The Terminator
9) The Matrix
10) Jaws

Top 10 Most Watched Films By Men

1) Star Wars trilogy
2) Aliens
3) The Terminator
4) Bladerunner
5) The Godfather
6) Alien
7) Jaws
8) Die Hard
9) Terminator 2: Judgment Day
10) The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

I was surprised that women rated the Matrix higher then men. Also most women said that they watched Dirty Dancing at least 5 times! Men have done the same thing for Star Wars

The lord of the rings trilogy would have been the only movie making it onto my top ten list. :/

I find it so bizarre that women rate the Lord of the Rings Trilogy higher than men, especially since there are many violent fighting scenes in it. The director said that he was making a movie for men, but more women seem to like it. Plus guys didn't even list The Matrix as one of their top ten. Weird :p

Most women love romance / fantasy and to get lost in the moment.

- Dirty Dancing (sex, forbidden, romance)
- Matrix was just a romance (it got worse in later movies)
- Lord of the Rings (lots of outdoors / scenery, fantasy, romance, adventure, about 6 hours to long)
- Grease (romance, musical)
- The Sound of Music (romance, musical)
- The Terminator (romance, mussels and a tan)

As for what is listed for the men Bladerunner might be on my top 20.
The rest are 1-2 star.

Star Wars Trilogy(1977 - 80's) was not to bad.
The "latest 3" sucked.

Maybe in the 1930s Zachariah, Your certainly living in the past that's for sure. Was that statement in your reply fact for every individual or are you basing this by woman you know or just simply assuming maybe?

Out of curiosity, how much is most? 90% on the planet? 80% or maybe the few woman you maybe surveyed to come up with this assumption? :devious:

I find threads like this and the comments made ridiculously hilarious. I'll stop typing now.

LOL :p Yeah it doesn't get much better than Monty.

It makes me smile just thinking about that movie, like when he says "I'll fart in your general direction" :p
