Well I went for 4 years, even though it isn't technically true at this moment in time, but it will be in a few months, started off learning javascript then moved onto php/mysql etc..

Time sure does fly, something about being 15 years old and making crummy codes sure was great, had a nice feeling, I miss that now... oh well.

technically speaking, i've been coding for almost 9 years here
i'm at age of 25 (26 on this Dec). i've been coding since a little bit before age of 17.
though for me that's more of a free time hobby than "coding for living", where till age of 20 it was mostly no more than 4 hours a day coding (during which i was also coding in ASP as well), unlike now where i code mostly in php & try to make it 5-12 hours of coding (when possible) to keep in good shape. i guess it's more like 5+ "full" years for php + extra 4 years with about 4 hours a day worth of coding...
the reason this is just a hobby for me is in real life i major in electronics, currently on way to become Electronic Engineer now (3rd year @ university).

EDIT: neglected to mention, but i code vbulletin code related for only about 2 years.
the rest of it was general php coding practice.
