Question How Can I Set Forum To Default Page

Can anyone tell me how i can set my forum to the firt page of my website? at the moment its /forum but i want it to be /index.html so it appears right away as soon as visitors come to my site.

You could have set the forum to be in the root directory instead of in /forum but having set it up perhaps the easiest way would be to create a small index.html file in your root directory containing a redirect to /forum using a meta tag in the head part of index.html (see below)

meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0.1; url=http://www.yourdomain.com/forum">

Does your host offer redirects??

That would be the only way I know how to do it.

Yeah thats what im useing at the moment just redirect, ile carry on useing it lol.

erm....why not just moving it one directory up, from /forum to / ?
Adjust Settings in vBulletin Options to the new directory and....done

That is the best solution if it works I have never tried that with a vB forum but when I tried to do that on a SMF there were lots of references to the original path in themes smilies etc etc so I ended up having to edit a couple of dozen files to change all the paths.

Another option is to install the vbadvanced CPMS thing.

It is a great front page that allows for lots of information and customization.
