Basically a guy is suing a website that lets women post about thier cheating BF's / Husbands for defamation of character.

A while back I can across a similiar site that allowed anyone to remove the rant/post for a small fee... I wondered when someone would sue for defamation of character and how it would turn out and I guess this case will answer that question.

As long as the website owner didn't make the posts, I don't see where there are grounds for a suit.

You are responsible for what is on your server / site. If you can't you need to prevent such things to happen.

This case will go nowhere. Defamation is very hard to prove.

Yeah defamation is very similar to slander so they will have a hard time proving any damages. Personally I hope the website wins. Ironically the loser that cheated on his wife and is suing in this case probably shot themselves in the foot by drawing more attention to the website, and the fact that they cheat :nervous:

We have a thing called free speech over here that would make that very unlikely.

How can you 'bad talk' someone that does something wrong? :paranoid: Do you not know what being unfaithful is? You do the crime, you do the time. Their site simply warns others not to get involved with these losers :classic:
