Any members have a "Smart Car"?

Does anyone here own a Smart car (or is on their waiting list)? How do you like it so far?

Do not know anyone that has it, but when I see them on the road I cannot stop staring lol. It looks like a clown car.

Yeah I know several people who have and love them. I was looking into getting one because they get such great gas mileage, but there is a 18-20 month waiting list

Honda and Toyota are also coming out with similar cars in a few months, so I'll look into getting one of those instead. The Smart car is certainly different looking, especially when you consider they are made by Mercedes Benz

Penske auto group imports them, but from what I've seen not fast enough (and their stock is going down because of it). If they could make/import them faster it would be like printing money for them.

Yea, I do not think they are fast enough for the freeways here. The big downfall.

They can go 90 MPH, but someone told me that after 75 they didn't feel very 'secure'

Honda, Nissan and Toyota are also coming out with similar cars. The toyota can be seen here. The Honda is below, although Honda won't officially confirm anything about the car until after Sept.
