I've been using Crimson Editor because of there FTP feature. I can save the file right to my server without the use of FileZila or other similar FTP programs, though one thing I found annoying is I work really fast and use TONS of keyboard shortcuts. So I'll add a line of code, ALT+S (Save and Upload), then Alt + Tab to my browsers and hit F5 to refresh. Sometimes Crimson don't like that and just ends the program out of know where.

I use dreamweaver for PHP and Frontpage for (X)HTML purely because I don't like DW's colour coding. And to upload I use Smart FTP.

I've always disliked Frontpage, mainly because when I first used it, the generated code was never XHTML compliment, could have changed since I last used it. I just type the HTML and PHP from memory. I need to find some more tools to use. Mine are getting old and boring again. :p

I'm pretty sure it still doesn't generate XHTML complinat code but it auto-closes tags which I find pretty helpful. XHTML isn't to hard to do manually either so it's not really a big blow. I'm in the same boat as you.

For HTML-ish stuff, I use a combination of Dreamweaver and notepad.

If I'm doing vBulletin template edits, I absolutely use Dreamweaver so that it's easier for me to see what goes where. Otherwise, I generally stick with notepad.

I use FileZilla for my FTP software

As of now, I don't quite have a consistent method for building my sites... The process is pretty organic.

I used to use that then lost my license key and discovered dreamweaver. A good point about UE is that it loads fast.

Yes - that's why I don't like the bulky editors, although I do use DreamWeaver from time to time when I don't want to worry about coding the HTML manually. However - I rarely ever do that any more.
