Hey there,

First release here, I'm sure most might know me from over at vB.org, in anycase they broke my vBShout, so here's a fixed version, with a few extra bits:

- Flatfile System (Seriously cuts any intensity this once created before)
- Bug Fix: ' used to break edit shout
- Bug Fix: Users couldn't edit/delete their shouts
- Bug Fix: Parsing problem (that vb.org created..)
- Feature Disabled: Timestamps, this is unfortunatly due to using a flat file system.

Enjoy everyone, if you have the previous vBShout installed, I suggest uninstallation the previous vBShout product then installating this one fresh (saves you havning to revert templates).

Also, this will work for any vB 3.5 installation

it would mean "resizing" it globally across the forum, not just the SB.

I installed the current hack from vb.org on 3.6.4 and it seems to be working fine. I have a decent sized site on a dedicated server and I'm not seeing a huge load, but I'm glad I found this forum anyway just in case.

I have a question for some of the advanced coders here, though.

I have a video chat that I open from 8-midnight. I'd like to automatically turn this chat off at that time, and direct the visitors to the chat with a link.

How can I accomplish this?

Does anyone know how to fix the who's online listing so it only shows people viewing the index, is instead of viewing the shoutbox?

Change to:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
12 being the number of characters after which to break.
Hope it works for others too

So let's see what you think about another tweak I was thinking up...

How about the ability to auto resize images? Shrinking a larger image to thumbnail size would serve as an awesome way of preventing the same size-distorting issues of the shoutbox!! Thoughts??

You're welcome. I'm not too sure about those images though.:confused:
