Hey there,

First release here, I'm sure most might know me from over at vB.org, in anycase they broke my vBShout, so here's a fixed version, with a few extra bits:

- Flatfile System (Seriously cuts any intensity this once created before)
- Bug Fix: ' used to break edit shout
- Bug Fix: Users couldn't edit/delete their shouts
- Bug Fix: Parsing problem (that vb.org created..)
- Feature Disabled: Timestamps, this is unfortunatly due to using a flat file system.

Enjoy everyone, if you have the previous vBShout installed, I suggest uninstallation the previous vBShout product then installating this one fresh (saves you havning to revert templates).

Also, this will work for any vB 3.5 installation

The main problem seems to be the variables I think for example $Smilie_Build or $DropDowns['color_selector'].
The smilies and font settings are all not working, now my question: could I change it from $Smilie_Build to /forum/$Smilie_Build?
Sorry, maybe its a stupid question, but my php skills are very low.

other windows maybe, float should be pretty easy just combine it with a bit of js.

Ah, thats in the plugins check them otu and switch a few around ;) It has nothing to do with the vbshout.php file.

For those who have problems with characters like à, é, è, ë, ê, ô... like indicate in this bug:

... I have found a solution.

The reason of the problem is that by default, AJAX send and receive info with UTF-8 charset. If your page use a different charset... you will see many bugs with special chars...

The easy way to fix this is by forcing it to use a specific charset ( ISO-8859-1 in my case == french).

So, all you have to do is:

Open vbshout.php.

Find:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Add above this:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Save and upload.

Et voilà!

(There is other way to do this, but this way work ok for me!)
