Hey there,

First release here, I'm sure most might know me from over at vB.org, in anycase they broke my vBShout, so here's a fixed version, with a few extra bits:

- Flatfile System (Seriously cuts any intensity this once created before)
- Bug Fix: ' used to break edit shout
- Bug Fix: Users couldn't edit/delete their shouts
- Bug Fix: Parsing problem (that vb.org created..)
- Feature Disabled: Timestamps, this is unfortunatly due to using a flat file system.

Enjoy everyone, if you have the previous vBShout installed, I suggest uninstallation the previous vBShout product then installating this one fresh (saves you havning to revert templates).

Also, this will work for any vB 3.5 installation

I don't even see a shoutbox at that link.

Sounds related to the problem I and some others have been having with the editor disappearing randomly.

blah, this hack doesnt work good the link is like http://82.438.231=do?vbshout.php and it goes to a error page u gotta fix that soo its your forum link, because this hack never works for me wheni click shout

That's running off your ip address not your domain, It's not a proper site so it's not really his responsibility. If the hack doesn't work for you then it doesn't work for you end of.

i disabled it a few hours after i posted that ;)

no since in showing something that isn't working..
it did for a while, then just stopped

It is frustrating. Different people getting different variations of the same problem.

I KNOW it is not a server issue. My host specializes in forum boards.

I could be very wrong, but it seems to be associated with login. Be it by a bug or mod conflict.

Think about it, not showing the editor is what guests see. But I am not a coder to figure it out.

Not showing at all could be a variant.

Oh, well. I will keep looking for a shoutbox that will show that I can add. Hope I find one since no one seems to have a clue as to why these issues are happening.

Add another disappearing editor, when you do not need to add a shout the editor is there, when you want to add a shout its gone.

Just noticed something else wierd. I had several forums not read yet and they were highlited (editor was there) , just logged back in and no new posts were showing (and they were not read yet) and editor is missing.
